Award win inspires broker to raise the bar further

Already committed to customer service, winning an MFAA Excellence Award has been a catalyst for this broker to keep improving.

Lee Barron won the Customer Service Award – Individual at both the South Australia and National MFAA Excellence Awards in 2023.

Based in Adelaide, but working with clients across the country, Lee started his business, Fox Financial Solutions, in 2020 after working in the industry, and under other brokerages, for several years.

He said winning the award was a tremendous honour, and the win also encouraged him to keep looking at ways to refine his business practices.

“It validated my unwavering commitment to client satisfaction, inspiring and motivating me to continue to serve clients with excellence.

“From a business perspective, it’s challenged me to think of new and innovative ways to continuously improve our systems and processes, to ensure I continue to give the best experience possible for my clients,” he said.

When asked what prompted him to enter the MFAA Excellence Awards, Lee said it seemed the natural thing to do.

“I’m committed to excellence and delivering the highest level of customer service.

“The Awards recognise and celebrate the best in the industry, and I saw this as an opportunity to showcase my dedication to my clients and my passion for not just meeting industry standards but also looking to elevate them.”

For Lee, making a real impact on people’s lives, turning their dreams into reality, is what he enjoys about broking.

“Helping people secure the right mortgage for their home, or achieve their financial goals is incredibly rewarding.

“Being a broker isn’t about securing homes, it’s about securing futures – and being a trusted advisor throughout the entire journey,” he said.

Lee’s Award submission tips

Of course, there’s only one way to join Lee in being an MFAA Excellence Award winner and that’s to enter. Lee has shared his top three award submission tips so you can make your entry stand out:

  1. Give yourself plenty of time – don’t leave it to the last minute.
  2. Be specific – provide examples and facts where possible.
  3. Use the full word limit, but don’t ramble – get to the point, and make every word count.

Entries for the 2024 MFAA Excellence Awards are now open, and close 12.00pm Tuesday 20 February AEDT.
