Your Broker Behind You campaign - end of agreement with Kyal & Kara

Over a year ago the MFAA launched a national advertising campaign aimed at highlighting the value mortgage brokers deliver to their customers and the economy more broadly.

Featuring former winners of The Block, Kyal & Kara, the campaign titled Your Broker Behind You was strategically rolled out, in anticipation of greater industry scrutiny, to portray the positive benefits that brokers deliver.

Shaped with the help of MFAA member brokers, aggregators and other stakeholders, Your Broker Behind You used television, radio, newspaper, digital, bus and billboard advertising to tell the stories of real people and real brokers.

The campaign has been a great success for our industry, but all good things must come to an end.

It is our legal obligation to advise members that the agreement with Kyal & Kara has now expired, and members should immediately discontinue their use of all Kyal & Kara themed Your Broker Behind You campaign assets.

Moving forward, no Your Broker Behind You assets featuring Kyal & Kara, including images, radio recordings, audio-visual advertisements (TVC) and digital assets may be posted, reposted, shared and/or re-promoted. Assets previously included on social media feeds do not require deletion but must not be further circulated and, importantly, digital assets that include images, recordings or other Kyal & Kara material currently appearing on websites must be removed.

As intended, Your Broker Behind You successfully promoted the industry at a time when all Australians needed to be reminded of the incredible value you, our members, provide to the community.

Thank you for your support of this initiative and we look forward to continuing to work with you to promote our wonderful industry in the months and years ahead.
