MFAA receives record number of Board nominees

The MFAA recently called for nominations for the MFAA Board with three Director positions becoming vacant this year.

The MFAA has received an extraordinary amount of interest from members with a record number of members – 19 in total, seeking to be a Director of the MFAA.

The following are the nominees in alphabetical order:

  9. Belinda James – VIC
  10. Caroline Jean-Baptiste - QLD
  11. Simon Kahl – WA
  12. Louise Lucas – VIC
  13. Robert McFadden – NSW
  14. Taras Mencinsky – NSW
  15. Darlene Neu – VIC
  16. Fred Obeido – NSW
  17. Paul Pappas – NSW
  18. Philip Robertson – VIC
  19. Monica Wandel - SA

MFAA CEO Anja Pannek said, “The number of nominees we received this year really reflects the incredible engagement the MFAA has amongst its members, which is no doubt also a reflection of the results of our advocacy work for the industry in recent years. Our members are wanting to contribute and play their part in one of Australia’s leading industry bodies – which is absolutely fantastic.”

The MFAA Board comprises of five elected and two additional appointed directors, with elected directors voted on by members of the Association. The additional directors are appointed at the Board’s discretion.

The election voting period opens at 12.00pm AEDT on Tuesday 25 October 2022 and closes at 11.59pm AEDT on Thursday 10 November 2022.

Voting in this election is by a confidential online ballot and is managed and supported by an independent election company.

Registered current members received their online ballots at 12.00pm AEDT Tuesday 25 October and results of the election will be announced at the MFAA Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 16 November.
