Aggregators act as an intermediary between lenders and Finance Brokers and generally hold an Australian Credit License (ACL).

As an Australian Credit Licensee an aggregator may appoint credit representatives. Credit representatives (CR) are authorised to engage in specified credit activities on behalf of a credit licensee. To operate as a finance broker you require an ACL or must be appointed as a CR.

Aggregators provide brokers with access to a diverse and extensive panel of lenders. They provide brokers with business platforms to help you manage your customers, loan processes, marketing activities and compliance obligations. The range of services provided by an aggregator can vary and also include education, mentoring, professional indemnity insurance and access to trained professionals who can support you with loan applications to lenders.

We've developed a checklist to help you when evaluating aggregator options.
