National marketing campaign to promote mortgage brokers

A new consumer campaign launched today by the Mortgage & Finance Association of Australia (MFAA) is designed to promote the reasons for prospective home buyers to first see a mortgage broker.

The campaign will run across targeted social and digital platforms that homeowners typically visit for six weeks in August and September in the lead up to the traditional spring selling season.

“Every Australian who is looking to buy a home should first speak with a mortgage broker. Even if they’re not ready to buy yet, working with their broker to understand what is required to apply for finance and secure a home loan will ensure they are prepared throughout the property purchasing journey,” said MFAA CEO Anja Pannek.

The new campaign guides prospective homebuyers to the MFAA’s refreshed Find a Broker site, making it seamless for consumers to connect with an MFAA Accredited Broker near them.

“We’re promoting MFAA members as the leading choice for homebuyers, as Australia’s largest network of qualified and accredited mortgage and finance brokers,” Ms Pannek explained.

The campaign highlights several important aspects as to why choosing an MFAA accredited mortgage broker is important, including that they are required to maintain the highest level of qualifications and ongoing professional development in the industry – meaning consumers can be confident they’re receiving professional service.

“Our broker members meet the highest professional standards in the industry. We believe this campaign will strengthen the visibility and promoting the strong reputation of our broker members, providing a significant boost in connecting them with clients actively seeking trustworthy and skilled professionals,” said Ms Pannek.

Importantly MFAA members can also be part of the campaign.

“We’ve created marketing collateral as part of the campaign that our members can use in conjunction with their own marketing to highlight that they’re an MFAA member and that this is a trusted mark of professional excellence,” said Ms Pannek.

MFAA members can download campaign resources from the MFAA Member Portal.

The MFAA regularly runs consumer facing campaigns with a campaign in October 2023 reaching close to 250,000 Australians and over 1.4 million impressions.
