MFAA updates its ‘Notify, Investigate, Remediate’ learning module on release of updated ASIC guidance

Last week ASIC published its updated and expanded regulatory guide on remediation. The MFAA was involved in ASIC’s consultation on ASIC Regulatory Guide Consumer Remediation (RG 277) and is pleased to see the updated guidance released. Download our submission here.

Alongside the updated regulatory guide, ASIC also released an updated version of the best practice guide Making it Right: How to run a consumer centred remediation.

These resources assist credit licensees to comply with their notify, investigate and remediate obligations under the law.

The MFAA has also updated its Notify Investigate and Remediate Obligations Learning Module (1 CPD hour) to reflect the latest ASIC guidance. This module was originally released last year alongside modules on:

  • Breach Reporting (2 CPD hours)
  • Reference Checking and Information Sharing (1 CPD hour)
  • Design and Distribution Obligations (1 CPD hour).

MFAA members can access these learning modules by logging into the MFAA Learning Hub – you’ll find them under the Compliance learning domain.

If you have any questions regarding this learning module, please email ua.moc.aafm@ecnailpmoc
