The MFAA is holding a series of five broker Regulatory Roundtables to talk through any potential unintended consequences identified in the recently released draft National Consumer Credit Protection Amendment (Mortgage Broker) Bill 2019 and draft Regulations.

The broker Regulatory Roundtables, to be held in five capital cities around the country, starting with Sydney on Thursday 5 September 2019, will form part of the MFAA’s consultative approach to the draft Bill and Regulations. Aggregators will also be consulted through the MFAA’s National Aggregator Forum, and we will be consulting with Treasury on any concerns before making a written submission to Treasury by 4 October 2019.

We will continue to keep you updated throughout this process.
