MFAA Assists Consumers with Hardship Issues

The MFAA Board has responded to concerns about the small minority of borrowers who are finding themselves in some difficulty in servicing their loans.  An amendment has been made to the MFAA Code of Practice to set down protocols which members are to follow on being aware a borrower is or may be in financial difficulties.

MFAA Fights Predatory Lenders

MFAA for many months has been lobbying governments to mandate that all credit providors must be members of an ASIC approved external disputes resolution (EDR) scheme.  This will minimize the impact of predatory lenders which typically avoid association membership or membership of external dispute resolution schemes which assist borrowers who have been preyed upon by these lenders.
