Seeking Compensation

If your complaint remains unresolved after going through the member''s internal dispute resolution procedures, you can refer the matter to an external dispute resolution (EDR) scheme.

  • The industry''s EDR is the Credit Ombudsman Service Limited (COSL)
  • All MFAA members are required to be a member of, *or* be covered by a membership of COSL (*or* another COSL approved EDR)
  • COSL has the ability to award compensation to a consumer
  • COSL may also forward the complaint to the MFAA to take action under the disciplinary rules if it considers there has been a case of misconduct
